Alex Rider #1: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

Review by: Richard V.
Georgia, Grade 10

I read the book Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. The book is about a boy by named Alex Rider. After the mysterious death of his uncle he becomes a secret agent to find out about his uncleís death.Alex will have to go through many hard challenges to figure out what happened to his uncle.

I liked it because it made me want to keep reading and I wanted to find out what happened in the next chapter. What I liked the most is that some of the chapters were amusing and I didnít lose attention while reading them. For instance, Alex said if it was possible to go swimming with the giant jelly fish and they ended up throwing him in with the jelly fish and he almost died. I disliked the book because it was very short and not enough to keep me entertained but when the amusing chapters came they were short and far between. Another thing I didnít like about the book was that the ending was very boring because I was expecting to figure out what happened to his uncle. Instead of Finding out the book left me hanging so Iíd have to read the next one. If the next book is anything like the first, Iím not going to read the second book.
