Lessons From a Dead Girl by Jo Knowles

Review by: Krista P.
Georgia, Grade 10

The book I am reading is Lessons from a Dead Girl by Jo Knowles. The main character, Laine, learns lessons about life while dealing with her friend Leahís death. She goes through many ups and downs. She also learns that her best friend has issues in her life.

I liked this book because it shows that even though you may think someone has a perfect life, they donít. It also shows that not everyone is perfect. It was very interesting and had great imagery. An example is when Laine was standing by the place Leah died. The antagonist, Leah, reminds me of a lot of kids in our high school. She is always breaking the rules and doesnít care about the consequences. For example, when Leah went and got drunk at a party. She came home not thinking about how much trouble she would get in. I loved this book and would recommend this book to any female teenager whether they like to read or not. This book is very easy to get into. It was a good book and it was one of the best books I have ever read. Jo Knowles did a great job writing this book and I canít wait to get my nose back in its pages. I hope everyone will enjoy this book as much as I did.
