Grade 6 Reviews Big Nate: In a Class by Himselfby Lincoln Peirce
Review by: Jacob C.
Maine, Grade 6
It is short and funny.
Do you think you’ve gotten a lot of detentions? Well probably not as many as Nate Wright; he got seven detentions in one day! Nate is a four and a half foot tall 6th grader who’s not responsible and gets in trouble a lot. He finds himself in a lot of conflict with his teachers at Middle School: P.S. 38. He gets detentions for stuff like, giving teachers mean names, and trying to eat 128 servings of green beans. So if you get in trouble a lot or find it funny when people get in trouble, Big Nate: In a Class by Himself is a good book for you.
Lincoln Peirce’s book Big Nate: In a Class by Himself is a funny book, short read, and hard to put down. Also, it’s the first in a trilogy. The book takes place over two days so it’s not as confusing for some readers. If you like funny books and graphic novels this is a good book for you.
