A Strong Right Arm: The Story of Mamie ''Peanut'' Johnson by Michelle Y. Green

Review by: Chasity B.
Kentucky, Grade 7

A story about Mamie Johnson plays on a Negro team and travels and plays everywhere and white people come to see her pitch cause she can pitch up to 90 miles per hour.

I like this book because it teaches me how life was back in the old times and shows me how blacks and whites were seperated and shows a good conflict and resolution to Mamie's life of playing baseball.
