American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang

Review by: Peter V.
Florida, Grade 6

The book is about this Chinese boy is new in class and almost everybody starts picking on him. He's not the only Chinese person in this class, theirs another Chinese student and her name is Suzy Nakamura.Jin
is trying to survive at school and still the boys picks on him.
My favorite part of the book is the part, where Jin is getting tired of his cousin embrassing him in class. So jin punched chin-kee in the face and chin-kee fought back so many times that jin punched in the face again and his pop off and ot was his father in monkey form. The monkey king just came for a visit.

I enjoyed this book because it had so many action and drama parts in it that i kept reading wanting to know what happens.this book was like the best book i've read in years.I really think you should read it.
I recommand this book for people that likes:action, drama ,and suspense.I think you should try it.I feel this book is for ages 12 and up.
