  Breaking Through by Francisco Jiménez

Review by: Matt L.
Connecticut, Grade 7

This book is terrible.

In my opiion I did not like this book. I would give it about 2 stars out of 5. This book takes place between 1957 and 1962 in a town of Santa Maria, California. This book gets really boring at points and dosen't make me want to read it. I usually read it when im tired so I can fall asleep. Overall, this book was terrible and I will never read it again. It was a horrible experience and sickening book.

This book was mainly about how Francisco was an illiegal immigrant and how he had to live in California and make a new life. This book talks about his struggles and his problems.
