Back to Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott
By: Elliot Y.
Iowa, Grade 5

I am nominating Louisa May Alcott because she was a great author, and she and her family also spoke out against slavery and believed in womens rights. She served as a nurse in the Civil War, but she became ill and had to return home after only six weeks. Her family had to put up with many hardships, but they never gave up.
