Ella Fitzgerald
By: Sarah F.
Puerto Rico, Grade 6

I am nominating Ella Fitzgerald because she is an inspiration to me. I want to be a singer when I grow up and she shows that you can be graet no matter who you are. When she was alive, she demanded the same pay as the white singers of that time. I find that brave and inspiring because blacks were still discriminated against in those times.Plus, her song ''A-Tisket, A-Tasket'' is one of my favorite songs, even though it was written in 1938 and it was 55 years by the time i was born. Ella fitzgerald made a difference. She should definetely be the winner.
