Indira Gandhi

Indira Gandhi was the prime ministers daughter, Jawaharlal Nehru. He died of a stroke in 1964. Two years later the new prime minister, Lal Shastri also died, and Gandhi was chosen to fill the leadership void in India. Overnight she became the leader of the world's largest democracy and perhaps the most powerful women in the world. Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917, in Allahabad, India. Indira Gandhi is a perfect choice to include in the Honor Roll of Notable Women. She has proved to everybody that women can be political too. Men are not smarter than women in politics. Women can be in democracies and also be leaders. I am 100% sure that because of Indira Gandhi more women are now involved in politics. So if anyone should be included to the Honor Roll of Notable Women.
