Back to Mother. Theresa

Mother. Theresa
By: Holly P.
New Jersey, Grade 6

I nominated Mother Theresa because she helped many people, one at a time, around the world. And not only did she personally help people, but just by doing what she did Mother Theresa inspired many other people to do the same. She started another order of sisters, the Misssionaries of Charity, who help the poor and homeless and starving and sick, just like she did. The name that she took on, Theresa, was after St. Teresa, the Little Flower, because she admired all of the little things she did to please God. Mother Theresa never allowed herself more luxury than the people she cared for, always hardworking, never taking a week off to the Caribbeans or something like that. She was a great example to us all of how we should act as Christians, or even just good people. That is why I nominated Mother Theresa.
