Back to Helen Keller

Helen Keller
By: Joanna K.
New York, Grade 5

I am nominating Helen Keller because even though she was blind, mute, and deaf she made her way through college. When she was older she made speeches to encourage others blind people. When I read about her I couldn't believe although she was handicaped in so many different ways she was brave and did what I didn't think blind, mute, and deaf people could do.
