Helen Keller
By: Jess M.
Missouri, Grade 7

I'm nominating helen keller because I think that she is a miracable woman and even though she was deaf and blind, she did anything better than almost any other woman could if they could see and hear. In my social studies class we read a play on Helen Keller and I think that it was wonderful how one woman changed her life by not letting her get what she wanted. I admire her for her strong will to lead and learn. I never heard of her before we read her play, but I now regret that because if i knew anything more about her i would have thought differantly about the way that i look at our women in history because i never really knew much about the women, but now I know that without women the men couldn't have lived. Women make history!!!!!!!
