Rosa Parks

Back then when there was segragation the African Americans had to sit in the back of the bus,and the white people sat in the front. If there was no more room in the front for the whites, then the African Americans had to give their seat to the white person. Well, one day Rosa Parks was going home from work in a bus. Her feet hurt so much, she couldn't stand up for a second. She went on the bus, and sat down in the back. There was someone that was white going into the bus, and there was no more room in the front, so the bus driver told Rosa Parks to move and give her seat to the white person. She refused because she was so tired. She got arrested for not giving her seat to the white person. I think that Rosa Parks was a very brave woman. She stood up for herself and what she believed in,it takes a real woman to do what she did.
