I chose Elizabeth Blackwell becouse she was the first woman awarded the M.D. in 1842. She was born in 1821 at Britain. Her dreams once came true because she wished to attain full profecional status an she did. She was rejected by all mayor medical schools in the nation because of her sex. Then founded a Women's Medical College to train other women physicians. Blackwells educational standards were higher than all-male medical schools.
