Harriet Tubman was a great African American who rescued and helped slaves.
Harriet Tubman tried helping another slave who was being punished.After Harriet Tubman tried to help another slave, a superviser smashed her skull befor coming involved in the rescue. Harriet Tubman escaped slavery in 1849 andpromised to help free other slaves. Also she was involved in the undergrond railroad where she brought her slaves. Harriet Tubman had never lost a slave while helping the slaves to escape to Northern Canada states and other free countries.
