Babe Didrikson
By: Ian B.
Missouri, Grade 7

She made many people think again about if women should be in sports. She had won two gold medals in track and field at the Olymipic Games in 1932. She also won the Texas Women's Amateur Golf Championship in 1935. She was a member of the womens All-American basketball team in 1930-1932. Many people said women should be able to go professinal, not just men. She died on June 26, 1914 in Port Arthur, Texas. People will, and always, remember her for her achievements.
