By: Susan B.
New Jersey, Grade 9

A common, everyday housewife turned environmental activist who helped define toxic and hazardous waste sites to benefit the people living on or near them. It was because of her actions that many more people have not died or suffered due to the negligence of polluters. she has also given many people the courage to fight the fight that ''cannot be won.'' If insensed and couragous enough, anyone can make a difference and she did and continues to do so.
