Elizabeth I
By: Walter C.
New Jersey, Grade 3

Elizabeth I was queen of England from 1558 until her death in 1603. Her reign is often called the Golden Age or the Elizabethan Age because it was a time of great achievement in England. Elizabeth made the Church of England a Protestant denomination, the country’s main church.

Elizabeth was a daughter of Henry VIII. Her brother, Edward, became King when Henry VIII died. But Edward died in 1555. Herr sister Mary became the Queen and died in 1558. Elizabeth now became the Queen of England.

I picked Elizabeth because she sounded interesting because she put peace in the world and she was nice to every people. She was the queen of England.
