Back to Joan Of Arc

Joan Of Arc

Joan of Arc lived in France during the Hundred Year War with England. When Joan was about 12 she believed she heard voices from St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret. She did what the voices told her and joined the French army. She was put in at the rank of captain and led the resistance against England to victory.

I think Joan of Arc should be put on the Honor Roll of Notable Women because she was willing to risk her life for her country. She even drove Henry VI out of the French throne. When she was older people feared to fight her. She was given many high honors for her leadership and help to the army. While on a battle to defend Campaigne she was captured and burned at the stake. She was only 19 years old.

Joan of Arc did many great things for France. She deserves to be placed in the Honor Roll of Notable Women. Not too many people today can do the things she did.
