In 1913 Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee. In 1955 she was arrested on December 1st for not moving to the back of the bus because she was black. The Montgomery bus boycott began December 5th and ended December 21, 1956. It began when Rosa Parks got arrested. It made black people mad, then they refused to ride on the buses. Her act helped start the Civil Rights Movement.
