Mr. Ruppe lives in Fairview Park, Ohio. At one time though he came from a small village in Austria.

During WW II he was drafted into the German army and it was a very scary time. Being forced to do something you don't want to do must be. His country had been invaded and its young men were being forced to serve in a cause that was against their own personal beliefs.

His town was well known for the wines that were produced there. Growing up near the mountains was a lot of fun but he said it became very cold in the winter.

After coming to the United States in the late 1940s he went to work for a large corporation in the tool and die trade. His wife was from their hometown and they knew each other as children.

She has since passed away and it has been very sad time since.

Walter came to United States because here you could not be forced to do something you did not want to do. Here was a country that had not been torn apart by warfare. It was a chance for a new start.
