I arrived in the United States on August 27, 1997. My first day here was a bad day, because I didn't speak any word in English. I was afraid, I missed my friends.

My parents came here to get a better life and better opportunities, because Mexico has a economic crisis and is very difficult to survive there.

In the first month I was crying because I wanted to return to Mexico, but my parents told me I have to stay here.

I don't like this country. I want to return to Mexico, I want to see my friends again, but for now that's imposible because I am in a school and I don't have vacations for visiting my friends.

I hope one day I will return to Mexico forever.
