This is my story

My name is Yasin and I am from Somalia which is in East Africa, next to Ethiopia and Kenya. First I am going to talk about my background information. Secondly, I will tell you about my immigration experiences. Then lastly, I will talk about my life in the United States, and my future dream.
First let me tell you about my background information. I am a 17 year old Somali refugee, in the United States. I was born in Somalia and grew up until I became 15; my life in Somalia was good I had friends and family. In my country I went to a local school and private too. My hobbies are playing soccer and watching movies, especially drama movies. In my country after school I used to play soccer with my friends, and at night we used to go to the movies. I have seven family members. It was good to live in Somalia but there was not good future for us because there is civil war then my brother told us we suppose to came the U.S . Then at the beginning of the year 2005 we went to the border of a country called Kenya to process the necessary forms then after that we waited for a while to for them to tell us we can came to the U.S.A .
Later on in the middle of 2005 we flew in an airplane. My route was Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, to Switzerland, to Miami. We were happy when we came to U. S.A. My brother was so excited about our arrived in the U.S.A. he said, “Welcome to the U.S.A.”
Now I live in Alexandria, Virginia, county of Fairfax. I go to West Potomac high school and I am hoping that I will go to college. My dream is to graduate and have good life and amazing future in U.S.A.
Now I live in U.S.A looking for good future. I hope that my country will be peaceful so I can go back and see my friends and relatives, am partly sure that there are waiting me in there to see me again.
