My name is Cheng Long. I am a new immigrant. I am from Wen Zhou, China. I came to the United States with my mother in January 17, 2007. The flying time was probably 16 hours. It was a long time.
I came to the United States because my family lived in here. I did not want to come to the United States, but I did not want to live in China alone. However, I was living in here now. I met my best friend and talked about our dream before I came to America. I expected I will know many new friends, and go to see the Statue of Liberty.
When I arrived in the United States, I went to my grandma’s house. About few days later, I went to the Department of Education, and asked which school I should go to. When I went to the LESP, I saw many Chinese in there. I felt surprised because everything was new, the subway, the train, the high buildings.
Few months later, I got my own house. I liked it. However, it was little and old. In the future, I want to go to college and make a lot of money.
