My name is Lin. I¡¯m nineteen years old now. I came to the U.S in May 31, 2007. I came here with my father and my mother because my father wanted to be an immigrant to America. So, we went after with my father. I will become an immigrant in the U.S.
In the first night, I prepared everything. I prepared my passport, my passenger ticket and my English books. I checked everything I have. I expected I can speak the English like American people. I expected I can go to the college in the U.S, and find a better life in the U.S.
When I arrived the U.S., we settled in New York City. First day, I cleaned the house with my family. My relative found the house for us when we arrived the U.S. The second day, my cousin brought me go to shopping in Up State, and we went to the Bronx Zoo in third day. I felt the air is better like China. The sky is bluer, and the neighbors are very friendly. The houses are very beautiful, and I found a High School in Manhattan, and went to create the Social Secure Card. Day by day, I feel I learn English is slowly, and I never went to find a part time job. I just want to go to school.
Now, I feel the houses are lower than China¡¯s, but it can make somebody comfortable, not any confused. But, I think I will go back to work in China when I finish my college. Because I had so many friends and my grandparents are in China. I want to look after my grandparents because I can¡¯t give up them.
