I am a girl from China, I am eighteen years old. I came to the U.S. with my father, mother and my older sister on January 24th, 2008.
Although I left my friends, my school and my relatives behind, I didnít fell very sad because my families were come to the U.S. with me. I wanted to change my life and have freedom. I didnít know why I came to the U.S. before, but I know the reason now. Before I came to the U.S., I needed to prepare many things, I left school, went shopping and learned English. It was very trouble to remember the English words. I Expected I will make new friends, my English will be fine, I will like the New York City and so on, all the good things.

When I arrived in the U.S., I went to Chinatown, Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the theater in Broadway, I went to school, trip and watched movies with my friends. Those were very interesting, so I felt happy and usual, but sometimes, I fell strange when I need to do something that I donít know. I find that my English improves very slowly and I donít like Chinatown, itís crowed. These are not similar to what I expected before.

My new home itís in Brooklyn, I like it because itís clean, safe and soft. In the future, I want to go into the University to continue my studies.
