When I heard we were going to America, I was very surprised. It was exciting, but it was kind of sad because I had to leave all of my friends. My dad went to America first and my mom, brother, and I went to America two weeks later. It was my first time riding an airplane. I was scared, but it was fun. We landed in Detroit, and my dad was waiting at the airport. I heard alot of English, and I did not know what they were saying. We got in the car and headed for Findlay. I was surprised because it was big, and I saw a lot of wide open spaces. When I got to my house, I was surprised by how big it was. I was very happy. I went to my basement, and it was very big, but it smelled like glue since it was new. I went to school two weeks later. At first I did not speak any English so I was scared, but in a few weeks, I got along with my friends. I was in first grade. Now I am in 5th grade, and I have lots of friends and I speak English very well.
