Micaela:Where did you immigrate from?
Martin: I immigrated from Canada.

Micaela: Why did you immigrate from Canada to the U.S.?
Martin:I trained as a doctor and then I was offered a job.

Micaela: What job were you offfered?
Martin: I was offered a job as a Radiologist.

Micaela: How old were you when you immigrated?
Martin: I was about 31 yrs. old.

Micaela: Did you immigrate by yourself?
Martin: No. i immigrated with my lovely wife Shelley.

Micaela:What did you have to do to be able to work in the U.S.?
Martin: I had to get a work visa and later recieved a permanant residents card (a green card).

Micaela: Was the green card really green?
Martin: No, it was pink.

Micaela: How long did it take for you to get a green card?
Martin:It took about a year in a half.

micaela: Did you have to have any tests done?
Martin: I had to have a medical exam, blood work,and some other tests as well. I was also fingerprinted.

micaela: Are you now a U.
S. Citizen?
martin: Yes.

Micaela: When did you become a U.S. citizen?
Martin: In 2004.

Micaela: What did you have to do to become a U.S. citizen?
Martin: I had to do another medical exam more blood work etc. and I had to pass an American civics exam.

Micaela: Do you have any family members still in Canada?
Martin: Yes, my mother and my aunt and some cousins and lots of family on my wife's side.

Micaela: Do you like living in America?
Martin: I love living in America.
