Ludmila's Russian name was Milichka. Ludmila was able to bring her piano. When the piano arrived it was upside down. At first she thought the keys fell out and she cried. But, then she realized what had happened. When Ludmila came to America she couldn't believe the sun.

She also noticed a lot of cars. In Russia she and her friends would go to movies and talk. Mila loved to read. She came in 1975. She was the first of the family to come. The flight for her was scary for her. She was sad to leave her country.

L.A. was very different from Russia.
