This story was about a boy named Seymour Rechtzeit and he had came to America for a better life.
He and his father had came from Lodz Poland in the 1920 to make a better life for him and his family.
He was at sea for about two weeks. At that time he began to get sick and arriving at Ellis Island.
There he and his dad was put through many test to see if they were sick and other things.
Upon one of the test the doctors found out that they were sick and couldn't pass through Ellis island.
When he was better the doctor sent him with his father and uncle. In the united states he had found work singing in theaters to get money to bring his family over.
One day he had song in front of a very important person who soon introduced him to the president who helped him to bring the rest of his family over to america.
