I came to America ten months ago from Guyana, South America. I came because I wanted to see my aunts, my cousins and my uncles. I also came to get a better education. I came because people in South America told me America is nice.

I am happy living in Alaska because my school and library are really nice. We didnĘt have a library in South America. I like to eat pizza. I also like the mountains in Alaska. I like the snowmen and the snow. I saw the big bridge in New York. It was the biggest bridge I had ever seen.

I came to the U.S.A. for the same reasons as Saed, Adriana, Margarita, Vedron, and Van. I came for a better education and to be with my family. I miss the warm weather like Adriana and Saed. It is too cold in Alaska. Like other immigrants I miss my old friends and my family who are not in the U.S.A.

Coming to the U.S.A. was easier for me than other immigrants because I already knew some English. It was easy for me to learn American English. Now I want to learn to be a pilot. I want to fly jets when I am older. There are more opportunities in the U.S.A. to become a pilot.
