In the year of 1989, Ed Hintz was involved in one of Mother Nature's most terrifying punishments on humanity; Hurricane Hugo. Announced weeks before its coming, the category 5 hurricane became the focus for all east coast states, convincing thousands of families to evacuate the coast and move inland. Ed Hintz was one of these people, living in an apartment in Columbia South Carolina. When he heard about the hurricane, he considered himself far enough away from the coast to be safe; much did he underestimate the power of the storm.
When the hurricane finally hit the coast, it possessed wind speeds in excess of two-hundred miles per hour, ripping roofs from homes and snapping palm trees like twigs. Ed, on the second floor of his apartment remembered when the storm finally hit Columbia;
