Jack (my grandpa) served in the military when he was fifteen years old. Some of his family and friends entered the war. The sad part was, not all of them returned from the war. Grandpa did not take a war job because he was in school at the time. Gramps never suffered rationing, which was because he was never a picky guy. My grandpa led a pretty normal life during the war, he still went to the movies, and still played sports. He bought victory bonds, and had a blue star in his window. My grandpa was asked about Hitler, and he said, he was a mad man. Gramps was a lucky because his family did not change during the war.
