Little Ricky was only 5 + and in kindergarten what was the war to him? Air raid, civil defense drills, black out drills, bombing attack drills over and over again. War meant no or controlled amounts of meat, butter, gasoline, certain clothing articles, or tires. The strongest memories he has of the war are the coming and returning parties for the soldiers. He also remembers the Gold * Star * Mothers, mothers who had lost their sons at war these two memories will stay with him forever and forever. This all started Saturday afternoon in Little Ricky∆s bedroom, he was listing to his radio. It was December 7th, 1941 Pear Harbor had just been attacked by the Japanese. Fighting from the homefront must have been a big feat for a 5-+ year old kindergartner.
