When I interviewed my grandfather he told me that he was a mechanic in the war. I think that he had one of the best jobs in the war. Without him and a lot more people like him the American side would be in big trouble. If there were no mechanics on the American side once a tank or truck broke it would be trash to both sides. If all the tanks broke, the American side would only be able to do little damage. The war would never end; if it did we would lose. Without him being a mechanic he might not be with my family and me right now. Since he was a mechanic he was in the back line. If he chose to be in the army it would be a bigger chance of him dying. IĈm just very thankful he was a mechanic.
