During World War II Evelyn went and tried to go on with her life as well as possible. Before World War II Evelyn worked on Long Beach Island in the Ship Crest Pound Fishery while she was pregnant with my great uncle. When the war stated Evelyn was 23-years old and she lived in Woodlen, NJ. . During World War II there were such things called ˘rations.÷ If you wanted to buy bread you took this booklet and gave it to the cashier and she/he would stamp it. EvelynĂs happiest memory of the war was when she got to buy a radio so she could listen to music. When World War II was over Evelyn moved to Tuckerton.
