Harry Bulley was 14 and in 9th grade when the war first started. While he was in school it was hard for him and his family. His older brother and some of there neighbors just got drafted. Also, you couldn't get a lot of things such as coffee, sugar, gasoline, and so on. Gasoline was the biggest problem in their family to get because it was the most important. Without gasoline you couldn't travel anywhere.
