Anne came from Lipno, Poland and was born on January 7, 1928. She lived in a small town in Poland and had a good life with her family. Both sets of grandparents were there. One set of grandparents owned a grocery store and the other set owned a clothing store. The family had a full time maid who often watched Anne. She remembers the maid was washing their clothes while the children were playing. Anne fell into the pot and burned herself. She also remembers when she was on her way to her grandparents' house with her new puppy and she was holding it so tight it got sick. Anne got out of Poland just in time for the German onslaught. Her whole family her aunts, uncles, and grandparents not one relative survived the German onslaught She immigrated to Canada when she was 4 years old. In 1933 Anne and her mother went to Canada to join her father.
