My grandmother worked at the Red Cross and General Motors. General Motors took money out of their pay to buy victory bonds. She remembers them costing $18.75 and you could cash them in for $25.00. My grandmother cashed them in quickly because she does not want to support war. All of my family has been raised quaker because of the war and my great-grandparents views. I agree with my grandmother, I donĘt think I would support the war. She also feels that the war was a war of hate and greed. My grandmother also said to me that it was very sad to think of all of the people who lost their families. ItĘs hard for me to think about all the sadness that people had to go through.
