Coming to Mexico By Gabacho ESL Communication 2 May 7, 2004 This is an oral history about my self. First of all I will give back ground information about my life. Then I will talk about going to Mexico. Finally I will discuss how I felt when returned to the U.S. First of all I will give background information about my self. I was born in Chicago Illinois Im 17 years old, I live with my mom, my dad, my brother, my sister and my cat I can only talk in Spanish in English and a little bit of Ukrainian. My hobbies are drawing, weight lifting and take time out or to sleep and I like math. I like to eat fish, tuna, chicken, roast beef, rice and spinach, for dessert I like strawberry with yogurt. For the future Im going to be a great architech and a bodybuilder. Now Im going to talk about going to Mexico. I went to Mexico, Toluca when I was 14 years old. I went with all my family; it took us two and half days. We had no problem crossing the border. I felt like if we were in vacation. In school all of the students there are very friendly. I had no problem with that. I dont like the food in Mexico not even the restaurants. The weather was crazy because it changes everyday, one day it is cold and the other day its hot. About two times a week it rains. We went back to the U.S because we really missed Chicago. We lived in Mexico for two and half years. Finally Im going to talk about me coming back to the U.S. I felt like if we never lived in Mexico. When we arrived to the U.S I was 16 years old. When we arrived, everything was the same the weather, the people and the neighbors. I feel in the U.S, because some of the people era poor and asking for money and you think they might rob you, but not all are the same and nothing bad happened in Mexico. We had no problem coming back to Chicago. Now we plan to live here for ever, but I will visit Mexico because I still have family there
