OUR 4 GRADE CLASS WENT TO BETHEL RETIREMENT COMMUNITY. WE TALKED WITH MANY RESIDENT'S ABOUT WHAT THEIR SCHOOL WAS LIKE A LONG TIME AGO. WE ASKED THEM MANY QUESTIONS TO HELP US DO A REPORT. ONE LADY TOLD US WHEN SHE WENT TO SCHOOL SHE GOT TIMEOUT AND SHE HAD TO SIT IN THE COAT ROOM FOR 5 OR 10 MINUTES . THEN SHE FOUND A BALL AND SHE STARTED PLAYING JACK'S . ONE LADY TOLD US WHEN SHE WENT TO SCHOOL THEY HAD ALL GRADES IN ONE CLASSROOM WITH ONE TEACHER.THEY DIDN'T HAVE A KINDERGARTEN. THAT WAS KIND OF INTERESTING TO ME. ONE LADY TOLD US A STORY THAT SURPRISED ME. THE LADY SAID THAT WHEN SHE GOT PUNISHED SHE HAD TO STAND UP ON HER TIPPY TOES WITH HER NOSE IN A CIRCLE ON THE BLACKBOARD. ONE LADY TOLD OUR GROUP THAT WHEN SCHOOL WAS OVER THEY READ. SHE LIKES CARTOON BOOKS. THE FIELD TRIP TO BETHEL RETIREMENT COMMUNITY WAS NICE AND SO WERE THE LADIES THAT WE TALKED TO.I WANT TO THANK THEM FOR ANSWERING OUR QUESTIONS. I HOPE TO SEE THEM AGAIN.
