** if i was in Melba's shoes **

If I was in Melba's shoes I would feel very sad. This is why because I do not have the freedom of white people. Also it would hurt me going to school everyday and especially my family. They have to wait for me to come home and worry if I don't come back. Also if I was supposed to go to that school everyday, and wait in class listening to all the really mean things people had to say to me. It would hurt me and other black people it is going towards. This is why I would feel sad in Melba's shoes.
