''How I Would Feel''

If I was in Melba Patillo's shoes, going to a high school where all the white people treated the Black's bad, I would feel really scared that I wouldn't live the next day. If the soldiers left, I would be afraid to go to school without them, but I would be brave, and try to finish the year, even though how hard it would be to get through one day. I would feel hurt, how all the whites treated the blacks by throwing acid in their face, and throwing eggs at them. I would be so scared I might stay home and not go to school again because of all the death treaths, and criticism. I think Melba Patillo was a real hero.
