Be Equal

I wish I could've lived back then,because I think that I could've helped stop the situation.To me it doesn't matter what race you are or what color. It's really ridiculous to think that one of your best friends can be a different race and they wouldn't be treated like you. Isn't that crazy to think of? I think that Melba Pattillo did above and beyond of what she needed to do, honestly I would've never did what she did, I wouldn't have the courage to do it. She went through so much just to prove that a black person can do anything a white person can do but even better. Why couldn't anyone just be equal back then?
