Where Should FLY GUY Go Next Contest

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, student must draw a picture that shows where the student thinks Fly Guy and Buzz should go exploring next and what the student thinks they might discover there. Each entry must also include the following information: student name, teacher name, age, grade level, school name and address, and phone number. Entries must be on paper no larger than 9” x 12”. Send all entries to: Fly Guy Art Contest, P.O. Box 714, New York, NY, 10013-0714. All entries must be received by February 12, 2013. Winners will be chosen based on creativity, thoroughness, clarity and execution. Winners will be notified by March 21, 2013. All entries, including rights therein of winning entries, become the property of Scholastic Inc. (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, damaged, mutilated, postage due, incomplete, or illegible entries or mail. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry it deems to be offensive, inappropriate, or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image. If Sponsor discovers at any time, during or after the contest, that an entry contained infringing material, the entry will be immediately disqualified and the winner will be obligated to immediately return any and all prizes that may have been awarded to him/her and/or his/her school in connection with their entry.

Contest is open to all legal residents of the U.S. currently enrolled in U.S. schools in grades Pre-K to 1, except those with family members living in the same household, of Sponsor, its parent, brokers, distributors, dealers, retailers, affiliates, and its advertising, promotion, and production agencies, are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

One entry per person. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, warrant and represent that their entry is original and does not infringe upon any person’s personal or property rights or any other third-party rights and grant to Sponsor the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use their entries without further notice or compensation in any media now or hereafter known for advertising, promotional, or other purposes throughout the world, in perpetuity, without additional compensation or notification to, or permission of the entrant, except as prohibited by law. Sponsor’s decisions concerning all matters relating to this contest shall be final and binding.

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be chosen and will receive a Science Field Trip for the winner’s entire class to a location of the winning student’s teacher and class’ choice, up to a value of $1000. (Value of Grand Prize: $1000.) Ten (10) Runners Up will receive the two (2) Fly Guy Libraries, one for the classroom and one for home. In addition, the Runners Up will receive $50 worth of art supplies. (Value of Prize Package: $100.00.)

All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to release Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, agencies and prize suppliers and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and employees of the foregoing from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, liabilities for injuries or damages of any kind sustained through participation in this contest or use of a prize once accepted (including any travel or activity related thereto).

No cash substitutions, transfers, or assignments of prizes allowed, except by Sponsor in case of unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.

Each winner and their parent/guardian will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within ten (10) days of notification attempt or an alternate winner may be selected. By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Sponsor the right to use his or her name, likeness, hometown, biographical information, and entry for purposes of advertising and promotion without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law. One or more winners may also be required to attend and participate in media and/or public relations events (the “Media Events”) designated by Sponsor and/or requested by various media outlets. Upon Sponsor’s request, and subject to winner’s availability, each winner agrees to participate in such Media Events without any further compensation. Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to choose the winners it wishes to participate in such Media Events. By accepting the prize, all winners, whether or not chosen to participate in such Media Events, agree to release Scholastic Inc., and its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and agencies, and hold each of them harmless, from any claims relating to their selection, non-selection, participation or non-participation in any Media Events. Taxes on individual prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners and their families.
