What happened to pilot Amelia Earhart and navigator Fred Noonan? I'm sure that is the question everyone has been asking. Amelia and Fred had been traveling around the world. July 2, the two took off for Howland Island. Which is half a mile wide and two miles long. Twenty hours into the flight Amelia's voice was picked up on a ships radio near the island but the plane ''Electra'' never arrived. Joining a press meeting I learned that President Roosevelt authorized 9 naval ships and 66 planes which is about 4,000 men to comb the waters and islands of the South Pacific. Never found, we will always have that question ''what happen on Amelia's journey around the world''?
