Amelia Earhart was born in Atchinson, Kansas. In 1908, Amelia saw her first airplane and she became interested in flying. She moved to California in 1920 and took her first airplane flight and in 1921 began flying lessons.
In 1928-Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across North America.
