By: Jessica B.
Virginia, Age 11

Today Amelia Earhart was born. When she was growing up, she attended 6 highschools. Her nickname was Lady Lindy, because of her facial feautures. On Feb. 7, 1931, she married George Putnam. In 1937 Amelia Earhart, and Fred Noonan crashed the electra. They crashed somewhere near Howland Island. People have searched, and searched but can not find the remains of Amelia Earhart, or Fred Noonan. It is sad that it had to happen so quickly. But she inspired people all over the world. No matter if you are black or white, man or woman, you are capable of following your dreams, or what you believe you want to do.
