Amelia Earhart, the first women to fly over the Atlantic Ocean set many flying records. On January 3, 1921 Amelia started flying lessons in California. Her dad brought her to a flying show in 1920 and she became interested in flying. She didn't have a lot of money so she worked many jobs to pay for lessons and she was a nurse in the military.
