Make the Most of Your Fair Make the Most of Your Fair

A Book Fair does much more than provide funds for your school — it puts great books in the hands of children! With your participation, the Book Fair can be an educational and profitable event.

Here's what you can do:

•  Create a Classroom Wish List. Parents can shop the Fair using your list and donate titles for your classroom library.
•  Send a letter home to parents (RTF) to make sure they know about the Book Fair.
•  Encourage students to create their own Wish Lists (PDF) for books they would like.
•  Excite your students about the newest books by doing a Book Talk.
•  Use our Curriculum Connections for activities to tie in with Book Fair titles.
•  Show the Author Video in class — kids love to see their favorite authors!
•  Volunteer at the Book Fair. Ask your Chairperson how you can contribute.
•  Promote the Book Fair and your Wish List on your classroom homepage.
